It's 3am..

Well, it is very much 3am right now and I'm sitting at work in the hospital.. It's not very quiet at night. We do a lot of transferring of patients from the ER to AMU.
While a room transfer doesn't sound complicated an ER to AMU is. It involves taking a semi stable, generally grumpy and scared patient down one floor, through the quarter of a mile tunnel (which goes under the street) to the other building and up 3 floors on a stretcher of poor quality with no handles. Then we return the stretcher and as my luck has been tonight, we grab another patient and repeat the routine.

Kristen inspired me to create a journal. I hope it'll help me stay connected to my favorite people down south. I miss Venice so much right now. I hope to be making a visit soon. It's been 8 months since I've been back, which is far too long. I used to make it down every 3 or so months. Grrr to being a grown up with bills and responsibilities.
